SHEET S-202INTERIOR · KITCHENS
Kitchen remodeling on Staten Island
Cabinets, counters, tile, floors, lighting and the licensed trades behind them, all on one schedule run by one general contractor.
Kitchen Remodeling
Scope of work
A kitchen remodel touches every trade in the house: demolition, framing, plumbing, electrical, drywall, cabinets, countertop fabrication, tile, flooring and paint. Most delays happen in the handoffs between them. As your general contractor, we sequence those trades so the countertop template isn't waiting on a cabinet delivery and the electrician isn't waiting on drywall.
We build kitchens from a straight cabinet-and-counter refresh up to full gut remodels with new layouts. Plumbing and electrical work is done by licensed NYC plumbers and electricians, with permits filed where the work requires them.
What's included
- Layout planning and cabinet ordering (stock, semi-custom or custom)
- Demolition, debris removal and dust control
- Framing changes, soffit removal and drywall
- Licensed plumbing for sinks, dishwashers, gas ranges and pot-fillers
- Licensed electrical for circuits, under-cabinet and recessed lighting
- Countertops (quartz, granite, solid surface) template and install
- Backsplash and floor tile; LVP or hardwood flooring
- Painting, hardware, appliance install and final punch list

Kitchens in Staten Island and NYC homes
Permits. Swapping cabinets and counters in place is usually not a permit job. Moving plumbing, adding circuits, relocating gas lines, or removing walls generally is. Those need NYC DOB filings by licensed professionals. See our NYC renovation permit guide.
Two-family homes. Many Staten Island owners renovate one unit's kitchen at a time while tenants or family live in the other. We plan shutoffs, noise and access around both households.
Condos and co-ops. In a managed building, a kitchen remodel almost always needs an alteration agreement and board approval before demo. We help assemble the package (see the COI & alteration agreement guide).

FAQ
Kitchens questions
How long does a kitchen remodel take?
A cabinet-and-counter replacement in the same layout often takes about two to four weeks on site once materials are in. Full gut remodels with layout changes take longer and depend on permits and cabinet lead times. We give you a written schedule with the quote.
Do you do the plumbing and electrical?
We manage it. Plumbing and electrical in NYC must be done by licensed plumbers and electricians, and we schedule and coordinate them under one contract with us.
Can I keep using my kitchen during the remodel?
Usually not during a full remodel, but we can set up a temporary sink or prep area elsewhere in the house and keep the timeline as tight as possible.
